Final Call 07:03
This is the FINAL CALL, gotta leave it all behind now This flight ain’t leaving till you’re ready, so are you ready? ARE YOU READY? It’s taken me some time to figure out I ain’t meant to be here I had no clue that in my mind, I knew nowt but madness and fear It kept me up at night, tossed and turned You know, the usual But in the dark I fought for sight And then I learned what is crucial I got to say goodbye So this is over, I gotta run, my gate is closing Finished the chapter, packed what I need My heart’s wide open So this is over, I gotta run, my past is fading Finished the chapter, got what I need My heart has chosen It’s the FINAL CALL, and now I know it finally And I’m ready, I’M READY I know that I’ve been crazy tired Given so much of myself to things that never really mattered And now I’ve settled down And I finally can conceive of the hope I’ve yet to capture My eyes, my mind, my heart are working together My breath, my tongue, my feet in rhythm together It’s time to say goodbye So this is over, I gotta run, my gate is closing Finished the chapter, packed what I need My heart’s wide open So this is over, I gotta run, my past is fading Finished the chapter, got what I need My heart has chosen It’s the FINAL CALL, and now I know it finally And I’m ready, I’M READY This is the Final Call, gotta leave it all behind now Gotta leave it all behind, MOVE ON Gotta leave it all behind now So this is over, I gotta run, my gate is closing Finished the chapter, packed what I need My heart’s wide open So this is over, I gotta run, my past is fading Finished the chapter, got what I need My heart has chosen It’s the FINAL CALL, and now I know it finally It’s the FINAL CALL, and I’m ready, I’m ready My eyes, my mind, my heart are working together My breath, my tongue, my feet in rhythm together It’s the FINAL CALL, don’t you know it It’s the FINAL CALL, And I’m ready, I’M READY Yes I’m ready, I’M READY

I've been told, times before, that I can't rap but I can sing And even though, I got a flow, I respect it's a different thing But I can write, I can rhyme, I can make you cry, leave you on the brink And if you give me half a chance, I'll even MAKE YOU THINK So tell me what's the use of little words When it can't produce a little vim and verve It's a grand tradition, one stone killing two birds Passing on your message, getting heard Emceeing, vocalising, freestyling, vocalese We're all part of the group that has the right tricks up its sleeves Jargoning, languagising, esoteric wannabes Never have the right ideas, please I've been told, times before, that I can't rap but I can sing And even though, I got a flow, I respect it's a different thing But I can write, I can rhyme, I can make you cry, leave you on the brink And if you give me half a chance, I'll even MAKE YOU THINK I Write, I Rhyme, never knew a different time Always had something to say Anyway, you know Poetry always gets its way Those of y’all who feel me, will feel me When it can’t be concealed And when it erupts, it’s something of a miracle So natural, so magical Even at 5am when the whole world can’t imagine where you been Just 2 nights ago I fantasised with JIMI in the dark And yesterday I was with DILLA, Dilla in the park But it’s the killer kills with MISS HILL She knows how to get you ‘Cause her lines ain’t regular, ain’t secular So divine, she gives you proper chills But she’s chilling, so easy, it’s exactly who she’s meant to be When she frees you to Ink, Sink, Wink, Drink, Think Pink, Make That Link And she gives you this mixture where Hiphop meets Scripture To develop a Negative into a Positive picture I've been told, times before, that I can't rap but I can sing And even though, I got a flow, I respect it's a different thing But I can write, I can rhyme, I can make you cry, leave you on the brink And if you give me half a chance, I'll even MAKE YOU THINK So here’s my thoughts, if you care Pit yourself against me, ooh honey if you dare I got a lot to say, I always lay it bare Healthy conversation, playing fair Emceeing, vocalising, freestyling, vocalese We're all part of the group that has the right tricks up its sleeves Jargoning, languagising, esoteric wannabes Never have the right ideas, please I've been told, times before, that I can't rap but I can sing And even though, I got a flow, I respect it's a different thing But I can write, I can rhyme, I can make you cry, leave you on the brink And if you give me half a chance, I'll even MAKE YOU THINK

Gaia vs. Man 06:05
If I keep talking ‘bout my baby, her baby, his baby When will I get started? I wanna talk about the price of this crisis Throw dice to see our history charted She’s under one more renovation We’ve become too good at negation Before denial teaches us a lesson… Oh Man, what are you doing now? Oh Man, are you still asleep? Oh Man, try to work it out, are we in too deep? Oh Man, there’s too many issues here Oh Man, for you to be sleeping now Oh Man, turn a deaf ear And 50 years from now, you’ll wish you worked it out If we keep talking ‘bout her baby, his baby, their baby When will we get started? There’s just about enough of bopping and popping, no stopping Generations sorted We want we want we want her resources Meanwhile rivers changing their courses Before she shows us who the boss is… Oh Man, what are you doing now? Oh Man, are you still asleep? Oh Man, try to work it out, are we in too deep? Oh Man, there’s too many issues here Oh Man, for you to be sleeping now Oh Man, turn a deaf ear And 50 years from now, you’ll wish you worked it out We think what she gives is for free just because We don’t get a statement in the mail every month It’s getting worse and worse, you can’t think in this heat But you can’t connect the dots, you raise your fork and eat your meat No one can tell you how to live, unfortunately But see for yourself and try to act responsibly How can there be balance when we take but never give? Is this the way you wanna teach your children how to live? Oh Man, what are you doing now? Oh Man, are you still asleep? Oh Man, try to work it out, are we in too deep? Oh Man, there’s too many issues here Oh Man, for you to be sleeping now Oh Man, turn a deaf ear And 50 years from now, you’ll wish you worked it out

Standstill 05:57
Excuse me ma’am, you don’t know who I am But can you please tell me where I’m headed too Hey miss, unlock your lips from that kiss Take a look at me and tell me what I’m to do I’m so confused And everyone’s so amused by my delusional self I got no steps to make Yet so much space, so why do I hesitate? Here I am caught in a STANDSTILL, here I lie paralysed I can’t move in any direction, regardless of my will Caught in a STANDSTILL Good day dear lady, what made you keep your baby Did you hear a little voice in your head? If you did, and it told you not to get rid of your kid Won’t you please share with me what it said I’m so confused And everyone’s so amused by my delusional self I got no steps to make Yet so much space, so why do I hesitate? Here I am caught in a STANDSTILL, here I lie paralysed I can’t move in any direction, regardless of my will Caught in a STANDSTILL

Snooze Queen 02:39
Need to kick this habit, my body just won’t have it It hides its head, the day means dread Can’t jump up like a rabbit I’m a SNOOZE QUEEN Everything is peachy, until you try to wake me Don’t wanna know, the sun’s too low No resolve will shake me I’m a SNOOZE QUEEN I’ma stay in bed, just like I said Avoid that beam, I’d rather dream Mute that chime, I still got time I told you I’m the Snoozest Queen… of all

You look at me Intelligent eyes, how time flies, such a surprise you're a big girl now All the things you see Leave me in awe, talent so raw, can't ask for more have to say this out loud And yes, my girl, I Wake Up Before Britain And yet my girl, Our destinies are written I wake up before you In a place far away But the difference makes no difference to you and I I wake up before you Think of you as I start my day But the time and the distance Don't mean nothing To a love like you and I I look at you See all the things, life could bring, everything 'Cause you're beautiful Your heart, your soul Your spirit is tender, you're so bright and clever I love you forever, you're remarkable And yes, my girl, I Wake Up Before Britain And yet my girl, Our destinies are written I wake up before you In a place far away But the difference makes no difference to you and I I wake up before you Think of you as I start my day But the time and the distance Don't mean nothing To a love like you and I

You’d think by now we’d’ve learnt enough to treat each other right You’d think by now we’d’ve made enough mistakes to gain some foresight You’d think by now we’d’ve realise it’s not the bark, not even the bite But it’s surprising, superior it seems, but I don’t think we’re very bright Why is it we can’t see We’re much too far from where we need to be? Why is it we can’t see We’ve learned nothing from our history? Click my heels, Over the Rainbow, that’s where I belong I want to believe it when I say, “There’s No Place Like Home” You’d think by now we’d’ve learnt to respect the essence of each race You’d think by now we’d not be afraid of the colour of each face You’d think by now, with each narrow escape, we’d be thankful for that grace But it’s embarrassing, superior it seems, but of that I can’t find a trace Why are we so afraid to try, to trust, to educate? Why do we elevate ignorance and fear, judgement and hate? Click my heels, Over the Rainbow, that’s where I belong I want to believe it when I say, “There’s No Place Like Home” Someday I wish to find the way And when I wake up no dismay will find me My dreams become reality, beyond the colours That’s where you’ll find me

Hey Lucifer, what would you prefer? A song with a beat or a sweet, slow mellow groove? Hey Lucifer, you think you could defer Destruction and corruption if I sang for you? When things go bad, and they keep going bad a lot People stop and pray and hope for respite some day I believe in God, don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Satanist But I thought I’d take the back route, not trying to be cute What the Hell do I have to lose? We both know what your profit is here You whisper in his ear, “Send more troops, make smaller chicken coops, But act cool, eat your Fruit Loops, ‘Cause breakfast is good for you, And you don’t care who Is starving for some carbs and for some loving” And meanwhile he responded better than you ever thought he would Hey Lucifer, what would you prefer? A song with a beat or a sweet, slow mellow groove? Hey Lucifer, you think you could defer Destruction and corruption if I sang for you? Just one more thing, and I’ll let you get back to your lot Tell me ‘bout the juntas, military hooplas, I guess you’re thinking, “What’s the fuss about?” How’d you get the word around? You got my props for originality Sex with a monkey, drugs from a junkie, and for the cure a virgin seals the deal Risqué, your seduction has it all Self-service is the key, give nothing back, stay on the track Even altruism has a crack But as long as I have you here, let me make this clear I’m on to you, I’m not your average fool And you’d be wrong if you were thinking that this is really Just an Interlude

Listen, I just don’t understand We had so much potential But you don’t wanna trust me, so how can I trust you? We could’ve had a real good thing It was hard, you and me, we had no sense of identity You tried to lead, you sowed a seed But as we grew I saw you lied to me I tried to see what you see but it was clouded by hypocrisy And after all these years I realised You were servicing yourself and there was none in it for me So tell me What do we have that’s our own? What do we have that isn’t borrowed or stolen or bought? What do we do that isn’t a fear-driven drone? What was yours to teach me that you taught? All around, others frowned they asked, why can’t they see what’s going down? Tricks up your sleeve, so hard to breathe More convinced that I had to leave Because you know what you know I know your ignorance is just for show And after all these years I realised You would never give a damn about the ones you keep in tow So tell me What do we have that’s our own? What do we have that isn’t borrowed or stolen or bought? What do we do that isn’t a fear-driven groan? What was yours to teach me that you taught? Irreplaceable, what you took from me My rights, my voice, my power, my sanity Inconceivable, what I’ll never know How it feels to be allowed to grow You’ve handled me with scare and I’ve responded with fear And that’s exactly how you wanted it to be But at the end of the day, you threw our history away What do we have that’s our own? What do we have that isn’t borrowed or stolen or bought? What do we do that isn’t a fear-driven moan? What was yours to teach me that you taught?

We need to talk you and me Can’t you see this ain’t working I’ve been providing for way too long And I’m getting sick of my job I’m so done presenting you with the silver spoon, the silver platter It was all about you from beginning to the end But you’re not the Alpha and Omega my friend I tried to keep up with you But your heart moved on too fast for me The end is near it’s time to come clean I’ve been here for so damn long But you don’t see me, understand me, get me You don’t realise how little I expect But it’s so hard to gain reciprocity If I let you go What’s in it for me? If I let you go Will my problems simply levitate away from here and disappear? I’m so tired yet I’m so afraid of setting it down in stone Would I rather deal with you or let you go And end up alone? I don’t have to tell you how much you mean to me But I hate the cliché that if you love someone you gotta set them free I know I need to learn to give up on you But every time I try, you surprise me by Showing me the good you still have left in you If I let you go What’s in it for me? If I let you go Will my problems simply levitate away from here and disappear? I’m so tired yet I’m so afraid of setting it down in stone Would I rather deal with you or let you go And end up alone? I’m so tired yet I’m so afraid of setting it down in stone Would I rather deal with you or let you go And end up alone? If I let you go, could I handle being alone? I’m so alone without you, I can’t breathe But I know…

Only You 06:33
You know what I’m like, you know how I get Sometimes only you can set me straight You know who I am, better than I do, I bet Stressed out, defensive, and always late But when you come around, you drown out the noise Yeah when you come around, you take the panic out of my voice ONLY YOU can love me like you do ONLY YOU can tell me like it is ONLY YOU can look me in the eye You know a thousand songs have been written But I had to write one that was just about ONLY YOU I had no choice, you know me too well I can’t hide my strangeness from you But when you come around, you drown out the noise Yeah when you come around, you take the panic out of my voice ONLY YOU can love me like you do ONLY YOU can tell me like it is ONLY YOU can look me in the eye You know a thousand songs have been written But I had to write one for YOU You called my bluff a million times Bailed my out from all my crimes ONLY YOU You deal with me being neurotic, idiosyncratic, overdramatic ONLY YOU You’ve allowed me to be part of your life Convinced me that I should be your wife ONLY YOU I know I’m not perfect, but I love you baby ONLY YOU can love me like you do ONLY YOU can tell me like it is ONLY YOU can look me in the eye You know a thousand songs have been written But I had to write one that was just about ONLY YOU Love you baby
